Gone With The Wind

I needed a way to showcase how baked into our narrative racism and sexism is. Being able to colorize and bring attention to sexism and racism in an era where DEI practiceds are being rolled back is important. I wanted to use the flames from the dumpster fire present in the American culture to illuminate system racism and sexism in the stories I tell across my blogs, using the same firelight many Americans would talk about Gone With the Wind in front of in their homes across the states. This movie is put on a pedestal in many white households I found myself in while growing up, and I think it is a story that is being TikTokified into our culture via the Internet that has spread across small towns.
